About the role
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team in Carate Brianza. You will be crucial in architecting, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our robotics platform. Collaborating closely with software development and robotics teams, you will streamline operations, promote best practices, and foster continuous improvement.
Main responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable and secure cloud and on-premises infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated software deployment.
- Manage containerized applications and orchestration for efficiency and high availability.
- Administer and secure our diverse database systems (NoSQL and relational).
- Create automation scripts to enhance operational efficiency and system reliability.
- Establish and manage comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Champion DevOps and security best practices.
- Contribute to the integration and management of real-time communication systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, SRE, or similar, with a focus on cloud-native architectures and automation.
- Extensive hands-on experience with GCP services.
- Proficiency in Terraform (IaC).
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience creating and managing Helm charts.
- Practical experience with GitHub Actions (CI/CD).
- Experience in Bash; Python or Go is a plus.
- Experience managing MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases.
- Solid understanding of cloud networking (VPC, subnets, firewalls, load balancing, DNS).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Nice to have
- Experience with real-time communication platforms (e.g., LiveKit, Redis).
- Familiarity with messaging systems (e.g., NATS, MQTT).
- Experience with security tools like HashiCorp Vault and/or Keycloak.
- Understanding of secrets management in CI/CD and cloud environments.
- Knowledge of OAuth2/OIDC.
- Experience in robotics or AI.
- Relevant GCP certifications.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps principles.
- Experience in managing on-premises infrastructure.
