About the role

We are looking for a talented mid-senior robotics engineer to join our Motion Control Team at our Carate Brianza headquarters. In this role, you will design and implement the algorithms that allow our robots to move, interact, and manipulate objects with precision.

The ideal candidate is passionate about robotics and technology, with a strong background in control systems and the practical skills needed to implement them on complex hardware.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize motion planning and control algorithms for humanoid locomotion and sophisticated manipulation.
  • Work closely with the R&D team to integrate motion software with high-level cognitive systems and low-level hardware actuators.
  • Develop robust solutions for perception-to-manipulation pipelines and dexterous manipulation, ensuring smooth and coordinated movements.
  • Leverage advanced AI techniques, such as Reinforcement Learning and anomaly detection, to optimize trajectories and real-time decision-making.
  • Conduct rigorous testing, debugging, and troubleshooting in both simulated environments and on physical humanoid prototypes.
  • Stay at the forefront of robotics research, evaluating and implementing cutting-edge technologies and papers to maintain Oversonic’s competitive edge.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in robotics engineering, automation engineering, computer engineering or related fields.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python. Knowledge of C++ and other relevant programming languages is appreciated.
  • Excellent knowledge of ROS2.
  • Experience with robot motion planning and control systems.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git).
  • Excellent knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP).
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with TensorFlow and PyTorch.
  • Experience with NVIDIA Isaac Sim.

  • Location: Milan / Carate Brianza (MB)
  • Smart Working: Available (e.g., 1 day/week, subject to team policy)
  • Driving Licence: Required
