Innovation through collaboration —

At Oversonic, Research & Development is the engine of our vision and the natural extension of our manifesto. We believe cognitive robotics should be a common good, designed to support people and empower their lives. This is why our R&D activity goes far beyond technical progress: it embodies Italian creativity, empathy, and a human-friendly approach to technology.

Our focus spans some of the most relevant domains of our time — including healthcare and neurorehabilitation, industrial transformation, and aerospace technologies — always with the same goal: creating robotic systems that cooperate with humans.

This approach is only possible through open collaboration. Our partnerships with universities, research institutes, and industrial players ensure that innovation is never isolated, but the result of shared expertise and collective vision. Medical robotics & neurorehabilitation.

Villa Beretta Rehabilitation Institute
Joint project for using RoBee in neurological rehabilitation.
Joint laboratory with the Politecnico di Milano that aims to use RoBee to support patients in motor and cognitive recovery, reduce the workload of healthcare personnel, optimize rehabilitation therapies, and improve the psychological well-being of patients.
Fondazione Santa Lucia IRCCS
Trials with patients affected by neuro-motor disorders.
The project is carried out by a multidisciplinary team of 24 professionals — 12 from Fondazione Santa Lucia and 12 Oversonic engineers — working together in a phased research program. RoBee is deployed directly in hospital wards and rehabilitation units.
Politecnico di Milano
Involvement in labs and applied research for clinical validation and development of rehabilitation protocols.

Progetto Companion, funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (FISA), to develop innovative robotic hands with flexible materials.

Qascom
Participation in the ASI project Advanced Urban Navigation Infrastructure, led by Qascom and RINA Consulting.
The ASI-led program with Qascom explores resilient navigation systems for complex urban environments — knowledge that can feed directly into humanoid robot autonomy.
